SJM Prema Theodore Racing announces Frederik Vesti for 2019 Macau Grand Prix

SJM Prema Theodore Racing is delighted to announce that Danish racer Frederik Vesti will join the team for the 66th edition of the Macau Grand Prix. The 17-year-old driver will partner the already-announced Robert Shwartzman and Marcus Armstrong. Like his teammates, it will be his second year at the famed Macau event.

Vesti, who takes the seat left vacant by injured Jehan Daruvala, joined PREMA Powerteam for the 2019 Formula Regional European Championship, cruising to the title in impressive fashion, collecting 13 wins along the way. Last year, he quickly made his way around the Guia track, improving consistently and ending up as one of the best rookies of the event in 15th place overall.

Teddy Yip Jr. of Theodore Racing,

“We are thrilled to welcome Frederik to the team. He’s had an incredible year so far taking a large number of wins and was crowned the first Formula Regional European Champion. We believe he could be a dark horse at the Macau Grand Prix and look forward to watching him take on the streets of Macau for a second time. We wish Jehan a speedy recovery.”
