SJM Prema Theodore Racing set for early Macau Grand Prix action

SJM Prema Theodore Racing is bracing for an exciting weekend at the 66th edition of the Macau Grand Prix, an off-season event now featuring the new FIA Formula 3 car. Returning to the world-famous Guia Circuit, the team is set to start its race activities on Thursday (14th November) with the running of the first practice and qualifying sessions. Coming from a busy three-day stint including public appearances and charity events, the team’s three drivers now look forward to getting back in the car for some racing action.

20-year-old Russian racer Robert Shwartzman will line-up as the reigning FIA Formula 3 Champion less than two months after clinching the international title. After challenging his team-mate in the regular series, 19-year-old New Zealander Marcus Armstrong will be looking to take revenge on the streets of the Guia Circuit while, last but not least, 17-year-old Dane Frederik Vesti is making his debut with the current-spec Formula 3 machinery. Like his teammates, it will be his second appearance at the Macau Grand Prix.

The 6.1-kilometer street layout, flowing between the long straights of the Macau shores and the narrow mountain section, is regarded as one of the world’s most daring and challenging. Thus, the Grand Prix often delivers tight and exciting action in front of packed and enthusiastic crowds.
