Theodore Racing returns for the 68th Macau Grand Prix

Eight-time Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix winners Theodore Racing returns to the Chinese enclave for the 68th running of its prestigious street circuit event with a multi-car involvement across the weekend.

Theodore Racing is especially thrilled to announce it has extended its partnership for another year with Darryl O’Young, who has tasted victory at the blue-riband event on more than one occasion. The three-time Macau GT race winner looks to add to his lengthy list of accolades in both sports and touring car racing aboard the #95 Mercedes-AMG entry run by Craft-Bamboo Racing.

Due to ongoing COVID travel restrictions, Formula 4 will once again replace the usual Formula 3 World Cup event as the weekend's headline category. Nevertheless, the Theodore banner will be carried around the narrow streets of the Guia Circuit by single-seater rising star — and 2020 Macau Grand Prix winner — Charles Leong.

The local hero arrives in Macau hot off the back of victory in all four races at the first round of the Chinese Formula 4 Championship at Zhuhai International Circuit, but is no stranger to what is known as ‘Mighty Macau’, as his title defence coincides with his fourth appearance at the event. Leong will carry the Theodore name along with his teammate Lyu Jingxi as the Macau outfit - that has been involved in no fewer than eight victories in the main event at Macau, the last coming in 2015 at the hands of Felix Rosenqvist – teams up with Formula 4 team Smart Life, creating ‘Theodore Smart Life Racing’ for the event.

With wheel-to-wheel action expected in all six categories on the schedule, the weekend is set to provide exciting racing for both the local spectators, while international viewers can watch via a worldwide live stream on the Macau Grand Prix website (www.macau.grandprix.gov.mo).
