PREMA Theodore Racing is ready for a crucial moment of the season as the Italian Formula 4 Championship braces for the 6th and penultimate round of the season scheduled for this coming weekend at Vallelunga.
The Roman track, located half an hour away from Italy’s capital city, is set for a tense challenge involving Brazilian Enzo Fittipaldi. The 17-year-old Brazilian is set for a pivotal weekend as he currently holds second place overall in standings, only a few points away from the lead. So far he captured five wins and nine podium finishes, more than anyone else in 2018.
Currently standing third in the series table, British racer Olli Caldwell has recorded multiple podium finishes this season, including one win in Le Castellet so the potential is there. Gianluca Petecof is expected to be a frontrunner too after securing three sixth-place finishes at Imola. The 15-year-old Brazilian, who was forced to miss the Monza round for precautionary reasons, has set his sights on the overall top-5.
The line-up will feature again Amna Al Qubaisi. The young female racer from Abu Dhabi has scored multiple top-20 finishes and recently impressed in a round of collective testing that went underway at Vallelunga so she is looking forward to posting more convincing results this weekend.
Angelo Rosin – Team Principal
“As we are nearing the conclusion of the 2018 season, we want to lay good foundations for the Italian Formula 4 Championship finale. We worked extremely hard in preparation for Vallelunga, as we want to continue our winning tradition in this series. Enzo is a great contender, while Olli and Gianluca also have the skills needed to aim for some really successful runs as well as high positions in the general championship standings. We also have high hopes for Amna, who is getting more accustomed to the car at every race.”
