SJM Partners with Theodore Racing to Compete in 71st Macau Grand Prix
(Macau, 13 November 2024) The 71st Macau Grand Prix, set to unfold from 14 to 17 November, takes on greater significance this year as the city celebrates the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region. SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) once again returns as one of the elite sponsors of this celebrated event, at the same time continuing its longstanding title sponsorship of the SJM Theodore Racing team, teaming up with PREMA and Vincenzo Sospiri Racing (“VSR”) to compete in the “Macau Grand Prix – FIA FR World Cup” and “Macau GT Cup – FIA GT World Cup”. The “A Racing Legacy – SJM X Theodore Racing Press Conference” was hosted by SJM in conjunction with the team at the Grand Lisboa Macau yesterday, 12 November.
Ms. Daisy Ho, Managing Director of SJM; Ms. Angela Leong, Director of SJM; Mr. Teddy Yip Jr., Theodore Racing Team President; Mr. Dino Beganovic, Mr. Freddie Slater and Mr. Alex Dunne, outstanding racers participating in the FIA FR World Cup; as well as Mr. Edoardo Mortara and Mr. Matteo Cairoli, esteemed racers joining the FIA GT World Cup, attended the press conference.

This year, the Macau Grand Prix introduces the FIA Formula Regional (FR) World Cup, while SJM Theodore PREMA Racing will feature a trio of world-class talents: Dino Beganovic, the Formula Regional European Champion; Freddie Slater, the UAE and Italian Formula 4 Champion; and Alex Dunne, the British Formula 4 Champion. Their highly anticipated appearances on the famed Guia Circuit are set to electrify fans and enhance the allure of this iconic event.
For the FIA GT World Cup, SJM VSR Theodore Racing Team will compete with a two-car entry. The team comprises “Mr. Macau” Edoardo Mortara, a ten-time Macau champion, alongside Matteo Cairoli, Nurburgring 24 Hours winner. Both will pilot the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2, taking on top international contenders on Macau’s legendary street circuit.
