SJM Theodore Racing On the Double in Sydney!

Sydney, Australia – April 6, 2025
Supported by long-time partner, Macau-based integrated resorts operator SJM Resorts S.A., SJM Theodore Racing made the perfect start to the 2025 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Series campaign with victory in race two on Sunday to complement their race one success the previous day.

Following their sensational victory in Saturday's first race at Sydney Motorsport Park, Macau's Charles Leong and Alex Denning from Ireland steered their #32 Huracán to a comfortable lights to flag win win from pole position with fastest lap in the 50-minutes plus one lap race.

Having set the fastest time in qualifying on Saturday Leong made the perfect getaway at the rolling start to secure the lead at the first corner and he quickly set about building an advantage. Leong was already 2.1s clear of Weiron Tan at the end of lap one and by lap three had established a lead of 7s.
By the time Leong steered into pit lane to hand over to teammate Alex Denning, the SJM Theodore Racing machine was 12.2s clear of the second-placed car.
Quickly settling into his rhythm Denning had a 24s lead over new second-placed man Emilien Carde but as the pack reshuffled in the second stint, Denning needed to manage the available grip from his inevitably deteriorating tyres.
In a finely judged performance, Denning took the car home to victory, crossing the line 28.7s clear of Carde to secure a second win of the opening weekend of the season.
The SJM Theodore Racing Team now prepares for the second event of the championship at the Grand Prix venue in Shanghai, China from May 16th to 18th.

Charles Leong:
Yeah, it was calm and consistent right from the start. I only pushed for two, three laps and then it was always about tyre management. I was just communicating with the team about what pace they want me to do. If they wanted me to go half a second faster, I'd go half a second faster. So it was just pretty much tyre management the whole race and yeah, huge thanks to SJM Theodore Racing for a great car. It, it's been a while since the weekend like this, so I'm really grateful for what happened and am looking forward to the next round.

Alex Denning:
From the start, Charles gave me an amazing car. He didn't take any life out of the tyres. We developed a super cool car on the Thursday for a race run. So yeah, it made my life a bit easier coming into today. I want to say a massive thank you again to SJM and Theodore Racing for all their hard work over the pre-season. You don't know how much has gone in to make this work and I'm just super proud to be a part of it.
